Day 0: Arusha

Distance: 30km /50km

Met on arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport. Transfer Arusha Legendary Lodge for overnight night. A very private experience on the outskirts of Arusha, the Legendary Coffee Lodge is situated on its own genuine coffee plantation with views of Mount Meru spanning behind.

Day 1:Lake Manyara  National Park

Distance: 140km

Non – game viewing time : 2 – 3 hrs

After breakfast we head to Lake Manyara on a private 4×4 pop up roof jeep. Lake Manyara National Park offers breathtaking views and a large variety of habitats. Acacia woodlands, water forests, baobab strewn cliffs, algae-streaked hot springs, swamps and the lake itself. And thanks to this the small Park is able to support a large number of animal species and incredible bird life. Day 2:Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, You will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. Day 3:Ngorongoro Crater – Empakai Crater

Travel to Empakaai Crater and hike down to its floor to explore the shores of its flamingo-lined lake. With no roads or tourists, you’ll be enthralled by the quiet solitude of this magical place. A rigorous ascent back to the Crater’s rim promises breathtaking panoramic views. Dinner and overnight atThe Highlands Ngorongoro.

Day 4:Ngorongoro Crater – Singita Grumeti Private Game Reserve

Breakfast at the lodge this morning at your lodge, and afterwards you will be taken to the airstrip for your light aircraft to Grumeti Game Reserve. Bordering the west of the Serengeti National Park this private concession has all the big game highlights of the park in a more intimate and exclusive wilderness shared between only three lodges. This means your daily game drives here are almost guaranteed to be private and without another vehicle in sight. Horse riding and balloon rides over the bush are further activities available to explore the area. Dinner and overnight at Singita Sasakwa.

Day 5: Singita Grumeti  Game Reserve

Breakfast at the lodge this morning at your lodge, and afterwards you go for a game drive.  Unaffected by great convoys of minibuses steaming through the bush, and fortunate enough to contain ten vital miles of Grumeti river frontage, Singita Serengeti is fast becoming the place to watch the spectacular migration crossings between the months of May and July. As well as the huge numbers of migrating animals, Singita is home to healthy resident populations of impala, zebra, eland, Thompson’s gazelle, dik dik, reedbuck, waterbuck, lion, hartebeest, buffalo and elephant. Black and white colobus monkey is common, while the rare and extremely quick Patas monkey can be found in the relatively sparse woodlands. Dinner and Overnight at Singita Sasakwa.

Day 6:Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will board a  Light Aircraft Flight from Grumeti Airstrip to Kogatende. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species. You will spend these two days doing full day game drives with picnic lunch or alternatively you may opt for morning and Sunset game drives with breaks for lunch and afternoon relaxation at the lodge or an afternoon nap at your lodge.
